SOD, LANDSCAPING, IRRIGATION & DRAINAGE

Improve the yard without overlooking the ground or water.

Whether you are replacing an area of lawn, changing the landscaping or dealing with water in the wrong place, start with how the property works today. Describe the area, existing ground cover, irrigation and the change you want. Keep drainage concerns in the request so they can be reviewed with the proposed work.

Sod installation

Give the approximate area, current grass or ground cover, sun exposure and irrigation coverage. State whether existing material needs to be removed and describe any uneven ground or water concerns.

Request sod installation

Landscaping

Describe the part of the property you want to change, the plants or materials already there and the look or use you want. Identify what stays, what should go and any materials or layout ideas you have.

Request landscaping

Irrigation

Say whether you have an existing system or need new work. For a problem, describe the affected area, visible leaks, coverage changes or other symptoms and any known system information.

Request irrigation work

Drainage solutions

Explain where water collects, when it happens, how long it remains and what is nearby. Include recent grading, driveway or landscape changes and whether the concern involves a yard, structure or roadside swale.

BEFORE YOU REQUEST A QUOTE

Describe the area and what happens after rain.

  • Approximate square footage, current ground cover and intended use
  • Plants, features and materials to keep or remove
  • Irrigation coverage, visible leaks or known system information
  • Water location, timing, duration and nearby structures or swales

A roadside swale is part of a wider drainage system.

Tell us if the concern involves a Palm Coast swale or driveway culvert rather than only the yard. The city notes that some swale water can be expected and provides a way to report swale issues. Check the city’s swale guidance before assuming that filling, piping or changing the area is the right solution. Site conditions and responsibilities need review before drainage work is agreed.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Plan the landscape and the water together.

Call (386) 260-4773.

What do I need before requesting sod?

Approximate square footage, current ground cover, sun exposure and irrigation information are useful. Mention removal, preparation, uneven ground and water concerns. Final measurements and material requirements are established during the scope review.

Can I request help with an existing irrigation system?

Yes. Describe the symptoms and affected area: a visible leak, an area not being watered, a coverage change or another issue. Share system details if known. The request starts a review; it is not a diagnosis.

How do I describe standing water?

Say exactly where it is, what weather or activity precedes it, how long it stays and what structures are nearby. Mention any recent changes to landscaping, grading or the driveway.

What if the problem is in the roadside swale?

Identify that in your request and review the City of Palm Coast’s current swale information. Some swale water is expected, and public-system concerns may need a city case. Do not assume a yard drainage project includes work on the swale.

Can sod, irrigation and drainage be quoted together?

List the main job and each additional concern in one message. The quote should distinguish preparation, material, irrigation and drainage work so the order and responsibilities are clear.
